EAST SANDWICH – A male was taken to CCH after a pickup truck rolled over, knocked down a tree and possibly knocked out power in the area of 213 Old County Road last evening just before midnight.
As you will see in the following HN Video, firefighters had to cut through the windshield in order to extricate the driver. The driver was already in the back of an ambulance when HN arrived on scene. He was able to speak with EMTs and was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
It remains uncertain whether the pickup truck also hit a utility pole because there was mention of a power outage in the immediate area.
The Sandwich Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash and HN will provide updates as they become available…
