*** WATCH *** K9 APPREHENDS MAN WITH THREE DEFAULT WARRANTS… SUSPECT ALSO CHARGED WITH A&B ON AMBULANCE PERSONNEL
HYANNIS – A 32-year-old man was bitten and apprehended by a Barnstable Police K9 after he allegedly was attempting to evade capture to the rear of a hotel in the Main Street East End last evening.
Christian Tenny, currently of Hyannis, was arrested on five charges, including a Default Warrant for A&B, a Default Warrant for A&B with a Dangerous Weapon (plus larceny from a person), a Default Warrant for Disorderly Conduct (subsequent offense), A&B on Ambulance Personnel (new charge from last evening), and Resisting Arrest (new charge from last evening).
Tenny allegedly became combative with Ambulance Personnel after they responded to help him with bite wounds sustained during the K9 apprehension. At one point, police officers needed to quickly enter the ambulance while he was apparently becoming loud and belligerent with the EMTs. Tenny was transported to Cape Cod Hospital under arrest with police present.
At the scene, and as you will hear in the following HN Video, a female was also arrested on a warrant. There were no further details regarding the female and her charges at the time of this report.
* The initial details contained in the above report are based on police radio transmissions and information on scene. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
