Driver hurt, kitty-cat extricated without a scratch… [HN PHOTOS]
WEST BARNSTABLE – A female driver was banged up and bloodied after her car slid off Route 6 eastbound, about a mile prior to Exit 5, shortly before 3am this morning. She was transported to CCH with injuries not considered to be life threatening. A crated pet cat was also inside the vehicle (as seen in the top HN photo), patiently waiting to be extricated… without a single scratch!
About an hour later, there was a second single vehicle crash at the exact same location, eastbound, just prior to Exit 5. A passenger in that vehicle was also hurt and taken to CCH, according to radio transmissions.
Mass Highway was notified about the likelihood of black ice in the area…
