Woman taken into custody after boyfriend said he had just been stabbed…
HYANNIS – At about 1:45am, police received a 911 call from a man who said he had just been stabbed. He then abruptly hung up the phone. The police had very few details other than the address…
Barnstable Police responded to an address in the area of Sea Street, parked about a block away, and cautiously walked up to the residence not knowing what to expect.
Hyannis Rescue staged down the street, waiting for police to tell them when it was safe to respond.
Upon further investigation, officers learned they were dealing with a domestic that had turned violent. The male’s injuries were considered minor and he was treated at the scene by Hyannis Rescue. He did not need to be transported and was out walking around within minutes.
Neighbors heard the altercation and were alarmed, stating they heard the woman threatening her boyfriend. According to neighbors, the address has seen a fair amount of domestic violence in recent months.
Due to the minor injuries, along with other circumstances related to both parties, HN will not be releasing the suspect’s name, address, or video images at this point in time… but rather will hold the footage and information for future release should the violence at this address continue to escalate.
The female was placed in handcuffs and walked to a cruiser. While walking, she yelled across the street at her boyfriend saying that nobody had touched him. She was secured in the back seat of a cruiser and transported from the scene.
Witnesses report having observed the female’s past volatile outbursts and her propensity for violence. Tonight they reported hearing the boyfriend say “why did you stab me?” as they feared the worse. Witnesses also reportedly heard her tell her boyfriend that she would do it again…
… but fortunately she did not.
