New flagpole erected; complaint of fornicating behind senior center…
Hyannis – Slow news day…
… hey, it happens.

Top photos: The finishing touches were added to Aselton Park’s new flagpole today.
In other news:
4:45pm – Barnstable Police responded to a small pond to the rear of the Barnstable Senior Center for a complaint of a couple fornicating out in the open.

Despite a quick response, cops were unable to catch the alleged fornicators in the act.
According to police sources, the couple was “GOA” (gone on arrival) when the officer arrived.
Hyannis Rescue was not called to the scene…
When questioned, senior center front desk personnel were unaware of the complaint, but were fairly certain the incident did not involve two of their clients. The consensus was that ‘the little fornicators’ were likely clients of the neighboring Barnstable High School.
The Barnstable Senior Center is located on Route 28 near the rear entrance to BHS.
According to their web page, “The Senior Center is a place of many opportunities, where services support positive aging and a high quality of life for seniors, where educational, recreational & fitness programs enrich the lives of elders & the community.”
Hyannis News also learned the senior center does not offer a dating program for single seniors.
HN will provide updates on new developments, and photos as they become available…
