Scary scene for this young man’s mother… [Video]
West Barnstable – A driver of a red VW was seriously injured at approximately 3:45pm.
The VW was traveling South on Oak Street when it somehow veered off the road and struck a large tree before rolling over.
Residents heard the crash and report a male driver possibly in his early 20s managed to exit through the upside down passenger-side door all by himself. One witness said he was then able to talk to first responders. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
The young man did however present signs of serious traumatic injury and was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital. The Cape Cod Times is reporting his injuries are non-life-threatening.
A very worried mother of the driver arrived looking for her son. She was told that he was on his way to Cape Cod Hospital.
